Based in Germany, incorporated 2005 and established as a brand in 2010, with more than 500.000 users, Clickworker is another micro-job crowd-sourcing platform that is worth checking out. In essence this platform is very similar to amazon Mturk, just less popular. There are customers (companies that have micro jobs to be done) from the one side and clickworkers (freelancers that complete these micro jobs) from another.
From the freelancers perspective clickworker is great, at least on paper. You can set your own working hours, what kind of tasks to complete, work independently and without obligation, provided that you have computer and broadband connection.
There are various task for making money from home with clickworker: Writing products descriptions and categorization; SEO text optimization; Data entry, validation and structuring; Tagging and categorization of digital content; Online research and verification; Proofreading, translation, transcription...
So, if you want to give it a shot and want to make money from home with clickworker, joining is very easy. First you will need to register, note that you need valid paypal or SEPA account in order to receive payments. Once in, before you start doing any jobs as a Clickworker you need to qualify for the tasks. Depending on your preferences and skills, this is being done by completing assessments.
Basically there are two general types of assessment: Base assessments - this category contains assessments for future projects; Project assessments- this contains assessments for specific projects.
Depending on your completed assessments, you can browse tasks that you can complete via hit app page, note that most jobs require that you have at least 90% on your assessment. Once you finish and submit particular job/task you will immediately receive credit into your account. However this does not mean that you will get paid right away, because upon submitting your task is queued for review by an editor. If editor validates the task, this automatically verifies the amount on your account. However if task is rejected, you will receive it back for rework and this will also remove credit from your account. Once you redo the task and submit it once more, it will be queued for review from another editor. If task gets rejected again, you will not receive this task again.
Beside tasks described above, based on your location you can qualify to complete tasks on UHRS (Universal Human Relevance System). UHRS is a partner platform that can be accessed through clickworker, and mostly deals with categorization of internet data and web pages.
As for payment you can earn from 10 cents to few bucks depending on the task. There are tasks that pay more but these are very rare and unsurprisingly veteran and proven clickworkers have the advantage in getting those.
Getting the actual pay is being done on weekly basis Wednesdays to Fridays for those with paypal accounts (minimum amount is $1). Or monthly for those with SEPA accounts (minimum amount is €10) 7th to 9th of the month. In both cases clickworker needs your tax information on file.
There are many alternatives to clickworker, MTURK being the most popular, and others such as: samasource.org, cloudcrowd.com, mobileworks.com, microtask.com, etc...
